As for the SAT, I haven't yet taken it, but I plan to this spring. My PSAT score is a 1920, so I predict a score in this range.

I have been in Math Honors Society for two years, and this year, I joined Unique Inspirations, Students for Abolition, and Science Olympiad. So far, I have 60 volunteering hours at the Natural Science Center and did 48 hours last summer from a service project.

One way to assess yourself is to look at the common data set. You can google “xyz common data set” where xyz is the school you want to know. When you find it, look at the first time first year data. I think college board must have college profiles on their site. You can use that as well. For in-staters at public schools I believe it is more stats friendly than for OOS applicants. That said, UNC mid-50% SAT is 1800+ - 2100+. Aim for SAT as high as you can. And take ACT as well.

Thank you so much jvtDad for the information! I will try to take the ACT as well!
Also, my parents are from Syria, so I believe I am considered a minority, if that is any benefit.

And oops, I forgot to add that my GPA should be about in the 5.4-5.5 range right now…

I’m a NC senior … by the looks of it, you’ll be very competitive in the UNC Chapel Hill admission process unless you completely bomb standardized tests.
Good luck!

hey everyone, I actually received a 1910 on my SAT. What do you think my chances are of being accepted into Chapel Hill in comparison to other people?
