An Observation:

Andover seems to do a much better job of marketing itself as opposed to Exeter, though they can be a bit showy doing this. My impression is that Andover is a more political-minded school, while Exeter is slightly more intellectual.

In my opinion, neither school is better than the other, just different.

Thoughts on this ?

I personally liked Exeter’s marketing materials better, however the marketing materials don’t make a school good. I’d say that Andover seems more political in general, but Exeter seemed to be less liberal than Andover. Also, Exeter gets presidential candidates speaking at their school.

I liked their marketing materials better too, what I meant was like An Evening with Andover, A Day with Andover, etc. (I’ve never seen Exeter host these events before–Andover seems to be going out of their way to get people to apply) but I preferred Exeter’s catalog.

Anyway, these things are just the outside, they’re not that significant. I agree with your opinion on the political/liberal atmospheres.
