<p>The only problem is, mine’s gonna be at the most 700 words long, and I’m not sure if I can PM you an essay that long. If you don’t want to give out your true email, why don’t you just create a new email account for essay-sending purposes? Hopefully that could work.</p>

<p>On the Dartmouth Admissions Uncommonly Asked Questions, they suggested length:</p>
<p>“There is no determined maximum length or word count, but 1 to 2 pages single spaced, or 2 to 3 pages double spaced seems about the typical length. This is probably about 500 to 750 words, but again, it should be as long as it needs to be and no longer.”</p>
<p>^ There are indeed various measures for length. In my experience, however, most stories can be told in 500 words. The reason I ask people to bring it to that level is so that they start processing what is essentially in their essay, and what is superfluous. That way, if/when they revise it, they have a complete understanding of what their essay’s core is.</p>
<p>Obviously I’m not going to stop anybody from going over 550 if they want to, but it’s a rule of thumb that works for me :)</p>
<p>good advice, makes sense. Mine as of now is 575 words, so I felt the need to defend it, lol. But as I’m sure you’ll see, I can probably cut it down further.</p>

<p>Well, mine is about 700. And An0maly never told me anything about length. So there are exceptions.</p>
<p>An0maly does an excellent job. I hadn’t submitted any of my essays on College Confidential for security reasons, so I was wary of giving it to An0maly, but he provided some excellent advice and feedback. I highly recommend this.</p>
<p>An0maly’s feedback is really in depth and honest. S/he will definitely respond to your essay like an admissions officer would.</p>
