.....and i thought i was going to Wake Forest...

Guys pray for me!! i looked for loans in our local banks…but they do not offer loans to students…but i did found a scholarship competition held by a corporate company here in Indonesia…i entered it along with 200+ other hopefuls…i’ve been picked out along with 4 other contestants…first place will get a full ride to a university of their choice, second place will get half tuition…third will get one fourth of tuition…the fourth and fifth place gets nothing but some crappy consolation price…i need to achieve at least second place to be able to go to Wake…please pray for me guys!!!

It sounds like fate is finding a way for you- have confidence, you will win enough to be at WF in the fall.

I concur with merryecho - and I’m pulling for you BPL!!

Really hope this works out for you - please keep us posted.

i got 4th place…that means i only got a certificate…and a note from the company that i can send to any college which says “i’ve been picked out over 200+ applicants with 4 other people, but got nothing in return”…i almost cried when i was called up to the stage to receive the price…but the first place winner got into London School of Economics, and the second place winner got into Johns Hopkins…they deserve it more i guess…well, that’s it then…thanks again you guys for the support…i really appreciate it…lets hope that Wake will give my spot to one of the waitlistees…at least happiness can be received by someone right?

I’m sorry that was the end result - seems like you got your hopes dashed not once but twice. I hope your plans for next year - whatever they may be - work out for you. Good luck.

I’m sorry BPL :frowning: I’m sure you understand that scholarship competitions, like college admissions, are very subjective. You seem to have a huge heart and that will get you far in life. Best of luck to you next year wherever you end up.
