It's the last day to submit apps! How are you planning to keep yourself occupied until that very special day? How many of you have countdowns on your computers already?

I know right? We always have this feeling when our applications enter the black hole, and now, we have to wait 3-4 months. I’m just going to try and forget all about the college app and learn as much as possible going to college, now that I have a less stressful workload…

Haha seriously. 3 months feels like such a long time to wait :/

^ And it’s 4!

These will be some of the most nervewrecking months of my teenage life Let the games begin…

It’s out of my hands now! I can focus on doing other things.

It’s really nice that I’ll have the pain of high school swim season to take my mind off this.

how is it 4? January. February. March. –> April 1.
I’m trying to get my mind off of the college admissions process (not having a lot of success) with other activities. But I still have to worry about applying/competing for scholarships at my back-up schools. I lack motivation with those schools. ;)

I’m going to spend it doing everything I would do when I didn’t have these college apps to worry about. I’m going to be chilling. Of course, I’ll also be training with hopes to make it to state in Track & hope to be the state champ this year in Mathematics. We’ll see how everything goes. The most important thing is being able to hang out and spend time with friends :)

I think he was thinking “it’s almost 1/2011, you have to wait till 4/2011, that’s four months,” even though we only have to wait until April 1st. It happens.

Also, I noticed that Yale says that decisions will be mailed “by” April 1st, not “on” April 1st. Does this mean we might receive our decisions earlier than that? I hope so, I’m already tired of waiting… lol

EDIT: I’ll be wrapping up college and financial aid stuff until about late January. Then I will focus on dominating AP Physics C and my other classes, and I will delve into some of the many things I have been longing to do before I go to college but have never gotten around to.

^Last year all the Ivy League schools came out on April 1 at 5 PM ET, as expected, so they probably won’t come out early Among the schools I applied to, Northwestern and Stanford surprised us by releasing results around March 26-27 if I remember correctly.

And now Yale admissions 2011 are officially closed. Good luck everyone, and happy new year!

So will these caliber of schools release all their decisions at once then? That’s what I figured, but hey, I can have hope that I’ll get my decision ASAP. haha

Good luck everyone!!! And I confirm that it is 3 months, not 4.

^Nope it’s still pretty much 4 months, or at least that’s how I like to interpret march 30, but maybe you like to round down A LOT :D

January 1-31
February 1-28
March 1-31

Today is January 1st

Three months.

Regardless, it’s too long of a wait ;)

If only applications were instantaneous xD… of course that would be a lottery.

wait lol, i can’t believe i just applied to YALE guys. pretty sure i have no chance whatsoever, but i don’t even care. i just got to be part of a yale statistic. and when i get my rejection letter (or are they not sending those out anymore?)/print my rejection status from the web, i’m going to frame it and be like yeah, i actually really truly applied. somehow i feel like that’s an accomplishment within itself… or am i just lame? hah

Haha, I feel the exact same way as you, notajingoist.
;)
