Pretty self explanatory but do they turn off the internet for all the dorms at a specified time (like 11pm at night)? I'm wondering cause I know the lowers have a different lights-out time than the uppers.

I know a lot of schools do. The school I’m going to shuts it off after lights out. But there are always ways to wiggle around it if need be, like, phones, printing out things and typing things on non-internet using applications. Ask on the first day of school!

My friend attends Andover, and we would talk over Skype, but yeah, they do shut off the internet at night. Not sure what time but I think it’s 11.

Yes, they do. Some kids get around it by using their cellphone hotspot to transmit wifi.

Exeter used to, but now the internet’s on 24/7.

I think some schools also block certain sites or types of sites during study hall hours. That way you aren’t so distracted by social media and other such sites. Correct me if I’m wrong, though.

At St. Andrew’s, they don’t even have internet in the rooms — wireless or unwired. And as a parent, I think this is a great idea.
