I turned my application in on February 1st and it says that all of the documents have been downloaded, but I have not yet received an email confirmation saying that the admissions team has received my application. How long does it take for the email to come; should I be worried?
i didn’t get an email either. maybe they’re still processing?
Same here, I say give them a few days?
The Andover applications were due on February 1st. I believe that they primarily work on business days, which means out of the last four days, they probably haven’t been able to process any applications for the last two days. While they may be able to receive applications any time that the Gateway portal, I believe that the bulk of their applications are submitted on the last day. Since they receive about 3,000 applications every year, it may take quite a while for all of them to be downloaded and uploaded to one’s file or online account.
Also, several schools, possibly not Andover, had sent out email’s prior to the application due date to say that it may take a while for all of the applications to be processed and for it to register as completed in the online portal or for them to send you a confirmation email.
So, I suggest that you wait several days before calling the admissions office or emailing them. Try not to worry too much as if you had submitted the application within the deadline and it appears as submitted and downloaded on the application portal, they probably have your application and just need to organize them between the applicants.
I got an e-mail from Andover, saying my application was complete, and that results would be out on March 10 @ 9AM Eastern Time through an online portal. Still, I am sure that they are still processing materials and therefore have not gotten to check all applications @IAmJustAKid @altablue @revellodream
