Anybody else sitting on the hotseat? :)

no, but good luck! You never know ^_^

@bklai8: When/how did you hear from Andover? It seems only acceptance letters were received today.

I live fairly close to Andover (just out of the day student border). I assume they send rejections and waitlists on the same day of acceptance it’s just that they are through snail mail. But since I was so close, I received it at 11:23 AM.

I know a few people who got their rejections and waitlists on Friday instead of Saturday for Andover

I was waitlisted for Andover, but since I am an international applicant, I was able to check my admission status on MyAndover.

My child is waitlisted at Andover. The letter contains three paragraphs or 10 lines. It asks us to respond within a week. Is it normal? We thought we would have time until April 10. We would appreciate any comments from people who are or were on the same boat.

Out of the 4 waitlists I received I believe 2 told to me respond by April 10th, while with the other 2, 1 (Andover) told me to respond within the next week, and the other, told me to respond by the 25th of this month.

I got waitlisted as well… sigh…

@PieLover,

Thank you for your sharing info. with us. Good luck.

Bump. Good luck for today guys.

im waitlisted. been on hold wit the admissions office for the past 20 mins lol…im still on hold hahah

You might as well respond. You can always call them back if you change your mind and withdraw your name. I’ve heard of people being called up as late as August so it really depends on your alternatives and whether you want to wait in that limbo state.

I’m wait listed at PA. A friend, also WL’ed, whose family is very “thorough” in info gathering, tells me that the chance of getting admitted from the WL is pretty much nil. Have others understood the same? Don’t mean to be downer, just wanna be realistic as I assess my options.

Hey, waitlisted :)

Did some of you receive your waitlist letters today- Monday?

Guys, don’t lose hope! I’ve phoned some people who know the situation very well (possibly the admissions office) and they said around 5-10 people get off the waitlist at Andover every year!

I’m guessing they have at least 200 on the wl. 5-10 isn’t much.

Better than 0.

looks like im joining the bandwagon as well. can anyone give input on getting of the waitlist as a 10th grader? I really wish i repeated, looks like i’d have better chances on getting in. As for the number 200, i think thats too high. dont they take in like 220 in the first place?
