Ok, no Andover package yesterday. Assuming wait/reject. Bummed, but, out of my control, I guess. Any U.S. students receive a letter of reject/wait? I live about 5 miles from Andover and have not received any news. Any responses would be helpful. Thanks and good luck everyone.

I live in Pennsylvania, about 10 or 11 hours from Andover.
I’ve recieved nothing either :/

Thanks for the response. Good luck to you. I will wait patiently for the letter. It is not a good one any way. Just strange that MA residents did not get a snail mail “No” already. If non-US applicants can look up their status, on MYANDOVER, than perhaps the system will be re-visited and improved for future students? Just sayin’

Mail just arrived: waitlist from Andover. We live close by.

Reject here :/…

Waitlist letter came yesterday. I’m debating whether to stay on it or not. And if I do, for how long. I was already accepted at other schools, so I’m not sure what to do at this point.

Andoverbigblue, I would say love the school that loves you. Remember that when you were being interviewed, you’re interviewer was judging whether you would be a good fit. It seems to me like other schools saw you as a better fit for their school.

I really think this method of notification is…well…not kind (ironic, no?). Sending out FedEx to admits on day 1 so that everyone anxiously looks out the door all day long whenever a truck passes by, then making people wait for the dreaded waitlist/reject letter–Andover could do better than that. If they’d send out email notifications, the snail mail stuff wouldn’t matter.

Anyway, chin up, all of you–you’re a great bunch, and things will turn out fine for you in the end.

My mail just came and I didn’t receive anything from Andover or Deerfield. I guess that means I’ll get them on Monday, 4 days after March 10…

@ClassicalMama, I agree with your comment. Non-US students could access their status via MYANDOVER on March 10th, while many of us waited, and waited. It would be helpful if this electronic-access feature was available at say 6 PM, on March 10th, so the rejects did not have to wait and watch. The process is supposed to be positive and exciting. It was not.

Lastly, this is just an observation: it is ironic how Dean Fried blogs about receiving “the envelope” and having class when notifying peers. Her blog may have helped many on this forum. Irony: some of the most obnoxious posts were from people accepted by Andover.
