andover

I think that if you didn't hear from Andover today, you probably are not going to get accepted, BUT before you give up hope remember that strange things happen when dealing with delivering things via UPS. In any case everyone should be hearing one way or the other Monday or Tuesday.

the sad truth .
=[
monday , it is !

Haha XD I went shopping too!..for like 6 hours lol
I guess this board will "BOOM" again on monday as well..
Because it seems that the majority of decisions weren't mailed to applicants' houses today ;(
argh..more countdowns

well i'm just wishing for the best :)
hopefully it's not a rejection cause i have no idea why i would get rejected. but then again..
anything can happen.

Yesterday was kind of funny. We probably had more posts in a single day than we would usually have in a week or two! Best of luck, all!

Give it a break!

UPS next day immidiate shipping doesn't ship EVERYWHERE in the U.S!

At my old house in North Andover, NOTHING would come via UPS on saturdays. UPS didn't deliver to my section of town.

Jenny, if you're ever so nervous, have yourself or your mom call UPS and inquire about Saturday deliveries in your section of Andover. They may not come to your part of Andover on Saturday... Doing this may help you relieve useless stress.

=]

Good luck!

A quote my mother would always say, "No news is good news!"

haha well my dad called ups yesterday to ask about if any deliveries came to my house, and they couldn't tell him because he didn't have a tracking # or something =/
haha you're right dancerx! a lot of the people in my area haven't gotten anything yet..so i don't have anything to worry about..
for now!
:) thanks for your encouragement!
your optimism is contagious <3

Thank you very much Jenny.

I hope you get in today. If Andover knows all those stats you posted about yourself, you absolutely should be admitted... You definately seem like the type of person I'm hoping to be classmates with in the fall.

&most importantly, GOOD LUCK TODAY!!!

It's my birthdady, so my wish will be for you, prepster, olivia, chaos, and rey to get in!!!!

(and others that I can't think of right now)

TTYL!!!

Shout. Too late to edit the above post. I meant "birthday."

Well, I also want to add that you would also be a great addition to the Andover dance program and I hope I see you at ballet class in the fall!

Aw, thanks dancer. :D :D

But wish that I get taken off the WL at Choate and that I can go there - not that I get into Andover!

Okay. Don't loose hope!!!

I won't ... I hope your wish helps!! :) I'm going to pray so hard to get in.

I just don't understand why you didn't get accepted in the first place.

I know... I had 98 and 97 SSAT scores!! I thought everything was good ... maybe it was my essay that did it.

Possibly...

A boy in my school applied to Andover and just got rejected. He's a genious and had lke 96% SSATs, but he's an atheist. lol.

For the classmates/dormmates essay, he wrote about 3 atheist people. It was terrible! So I kind of feel bad for people not getting in for little mistakes.

It seems as if they're looking for original people that are right next to perfect, which isn't fair...

Aw, poor kid. Was that his first choice?

One of them. I think his very, very first choice was Exeter. He got in there.

That's good. I'll bet his bitterness toward Andover will extend toward the A-E game. :)

My son applied to one of the AESD schools for the last two years, got waitlisted once and rejected once. Their "thin" letter came two days after the 10th each time. I want to recommend that if you get waitlisted, you try to move on to a sure thing. This top tier school sent extremely encouraging letters all summer long and really strung him along and then he never got in. It ruined the whole summer for the whole family. I just want to say that no matter how flowery and encouraging they are, you may want to go with a sure thing if you get accepted somewhere else and get on with your life. If you think waiting from the 10th to the 12th of March was hard, wait until they string you along until September. By the way, he has been accepted this year already to three schools in the top 10 with FA so don't be discouraged if you get one turn-down...you just never know. It definitely pays to apply to more than one school.
