Although I'm not sure my major will be, I always wanted to be a comic book artist... However no such major exists (well it exists in Japan and Korea) so I wanted to be an Animation major...

Does anybody know a good animation school (doesn't matter 3D or 2D although I like 2D more than 3D.. I think most schools cover both) with a good rate of getting a job after you graduate? Please help.. Thanks.

Well RISD is probably decent in it. SVA is well known and actually started as a cartooning school, to the best of my knowledge ( in order to not sound so autocratic). Check them out.

sva has a whole separate cartooning department, (in addition to animation) As for animation, there is syracuse, pratt, savannah, etc. - don't know if they have cartooning as well.

Try Ringling School of Art and Design in Sarasota, FL. They have an incredible animation department, character and concept development, and they have a new gaming minor.

SCAD has undergrad and graduate degrees in Sequential Art and traditional Animation. There is also a Visual Effects degree program, undergrad and grad. I believe SCAD grads have worked on - to name two - visual effects for Spiderman and The Matrix if I am not mistaken.
