<p>Old German is long gone. There’s still a Metzger’s but it’s out on Zeeb Road now. Del Rio’s gone, too. But the Fleetwood Diner is still there. And the Old Town. And a bunch of new restaurants downtown (well, “new” since my day, which I suppose means some of them could be 30 years old by now).</p>

<p>Closer to campus, Pizza Bob’s (lousy pizza, tasty shakes, great name), the Brown Jug, Dominick’s, and Angelo’s are still kicking. And the owner of Krazy Jim’s Blimpy Burger is promising a comeback as soon as he can find a new location.</p>
