The thing about Ann Arbor is that, even though it's a great town, a lot of students don't really get to explore everything. When you've got tons of school work, a crazy cold winter, and you don't have a car, you just end up spending a lot of time around state st., north U. and it gets pretty boring after a year or two. You can end up eating at the same places all the time.

Haha, I agree with your last statement keefer. I think I've eaten at least 500 slices of NYPD since freshman year, even though I don't even like it anymore.

You guys should learn to diversfy. For pizza, you have Cottage Inn, NYPD, Pizza House and Anthony's. They all serve very different types of awesome pizza. NYPD obviously serves NY style pizza, Anthony's serves Chicago style pies and Cottage Inn and Pizza House have their own unique styles which are great.

And it's not all about pizza. You have decent Mexican places, Zingermann's Deli (expensive, but awesome), Goodtime Charley's, Red Hawk, the Brown Jug, Touchdown Cafe, Red Hawke and decent Lebanese (Shahrayar and Ali Baba) and Indian restaurants to name a few. The Mongolian BBQ isn't bad either, neither is Palio's, a laid back Italian joint on Williams and Main. A good meal at any of those places will cost under $25. That's not cheap, but you can easily eat at one of those places once a week.

I liked life here as a grad student, and I like life here as a working person raising a family, but the two experiences are quite different.

I'm really happy about the cultural activities and diversity here, especially for my son.
