Ann Arbor Road Trip

I thought that they couldn't call it "Big Ten Burrito" anymore because the Big 10 sued them.

Anyways, go to Mongolian Barbeque, it's a unique restaurant that everyone loves (but it's going to be like 10 bucks a meal). Or try NYPD/Pizza House.

The art fair is awesome but if you're there to visit the campus and get a feel for UM, I wouldn't recommend going there that week. It's REALLY crowded, but there are lots of stuff to do.

Do they still have hash bash every year?

They still have Hash Bash every year, though it's been declining in popularity, especially amongst the students.

Naked Mile run is sadly no more.

LOL...chicken broccoli bake is served in the dorms...

dilksy, you need to re-show me where the greasy burger place is...because I remember the place, but I have no idea where it's located on campus.

yeahhhh.. thats what its called. chicken broccoli bake. so i guess the dining halls aren't open right now?

I think Markley is the only dorm that serves food in the spring/summer term.

Buffalo Wild Wings: Tuesdays, you can get 20 wings for $7 bucks. Asian Zing and Honey BBQ baby!

Sushi Cafe: Located in Briarwood mall, I still think this "hole-in-the-wall" sushi place is better than the more acclaimed Yotsuba. I reccomend the Dragon Roll

NYPD: As Alexandre said, NYPD makes the best pizza in A2, but Pizza House is a close second.

Bubble Island: If you've never had bubble tea, go to this place and grab one. Slightly overrated, but still worth a trip.

Also, did anyone mention Top of the Park? It's part of the summer festival thing in A2 with free movies, music and food, etc.

Top of the Park was like two weeks ago, and it's not worth going to.

Pizza house, cottage Inn, and bubble island! Also, the crepes at rendez-vous cafe are quite delicious.

Top of the Park is neat this year (IMHO) because of the changed venue. It's still going on (ends July 9th)

Don't bust on my peeps at the Diag party store; they're very good to me. Also, for what it's worth, I like their pizza.

I've eaten many a Fleetwood meal, but never sober. Please do not try to kill off our incoming students with botulism.

what are the closest shopping malls near campus? are there any within walking distance?

The closest Mall to Campus is Briarwood. You can walk it, but it will probably take you 40 minutes. I'd say it is 3 miles away from Campus. There is a bus that takes you there from the Union.

There are lots of shops downtown, you don't really need to go to Briarwood. But yeah, there are buses that take you all over town called the AATA, and their hub is downtown.
