<p>I'm new to this website and I am a Sophomore in High school currently.</p>

<p>I want to become a Marine officer and actually partake in combat and stuff. I do not want a desk job. ever.</p>

<p>My question is what does Annapolis look for in Applications? </p>

<p>Do they tend to focus on your physics and math grades the most?</p>

<p>What is different in Application focuses than West Point?</p>

<p>I'm really determined to get into a Military Academy. I just love the disciplined atmosphere and the way of life. If you have even the slightest answer, it will help greatly! Thank you!</p>

<p>a) the comment about wanting to be a Marine officer and never sitting behind a desk is hilarious</p>

<p>and </p>

<p>b) many of things you’re looking for can be found in this forum and in the archives. You have to do some research. </p>

<p>That said, where do you live? You could go visit both and see for yourself.</p>
