<p>Short answer #2 says "Describe your academic interests and how you plan to pursue them at USC. ". Meanwhile, the additional Annenberg essay is about why they want to pursue a journalism career...so wouldn't that basically answer the short answer question as well...because my academic interests are journalism but that wold just be basically the same thing as writing the annenberg essay</p>
<p>try to break it into two seperate essays</p>
<p>1) Why do you want to go to USC out of everywhere else? (self-explainatory)</p>
<p>2) Why do you want to pursue a major in journalism? (you don't have to include anything about Annenberg. This isn't asking WHY you want to go to USC's Annenberg.. just merely Why do you want to pursue this career?"</p>

<p>additonal in the sense that annenberg students have to write an essay supplementing the rest of the app</p>
<p>yah i basically wrote why i wanted to study communication in the short answer and then they needed th annenberg essay and i was like oh crap..oh well i'll just write the same thing...i need to submit that. haha</p>
