Annoying Princeton Interviewer--spoiling chances?

Hey,

Had my intr'v a couple of days ago...but the guy was really gruelling, none of the usual 'informative' and 'friendly' attitude at all. (TOTALLY opposite to what i usually expect/encoutered in previous interviews).

But on the upside, i knew i handled it well, and really can't say it was 'bad'...just annoying.

Think this will hurt my chances?

I doubt it. Unless he says you were way below average or among the best he's ever seen, I don't think it has any real impact on your chances. The only exception to this is if your presentation was somehow at real odds with your application or if you had no social skills (and weren't applying as a math guy). I do alumni interviews and had one kid who might or might not be very strong, but I couldn't get more than a short sentence from him in answer to any question and couldn't figure out how to get him to talk. But, for the average kid who presents well (albeit a little nervously as most kids are nervous at an HYP interview), I don't think the interview affects meaningfully affects chances. And, if this same interviewer treats all candidates the same way, you may have done reasonably well. who knows. Don't worry about it.
