Ben Gedeon, 6'2", 215 LBS OLB committed to Michigan, taking our total of verbal commits up to 17. Of those 17 commits, a whoping 12 are either 5 star or 4 star prospects.

At this stage, we are looking at 7-8 more recruits. In terms of need, here is how I see the rest of the class shaping up:

OFFENSE:
One Offensive Lineman (either Laremy Tunsil or Ethan Pocic)
Two Wide Receivers (hopefully Darrell Daniels, Marquez North or Laquon tredwell)
One Running Back (Hopefully either Ty Isaac or Justin Davis)

DEFENSE:
Two Defensive Linemen (Hopefully Eddie Vanderdoes, Justin Manning or Greg Webb)
Two Defensive Backs (likely Vernon Hargreaves III, Su'a Cravens, Kendall Fuller or Priest Willis)

I like this posting better than your original one. ;-)

still need a top flight WR and a dominating Nose Tackle. Not talking Sammy Watkins and N. Suh, but at least a JH and MM type. We all hope Big Will can get it done, but I’m thinking start Pipkins ASAP. 'Tree needs to step up big after an off year, Gallon and Dileo (my breakout player along w/Rawls for this year) will be solid, but we really lack a burner at WR or a ND type of TE. WR and RB are thin if anyone gets hurt.

Loaded at LB, DB, OL for years to come. Really need to focus on D-Line and WR. Got guys who will playing out of position on D-Line this year. Converted LBs on the DE sides will add speed, but no pass up the middle w/o Pipkin in. WC is a run-stopper and Black not big enough to pass rush from the inside. Will rely on Beyer, Clark and Ryan from the outside to pass rush/blitz, but Pipkins is the only one who could come close to filling MM role up the middle.

At this stage we’re looking at most likely 6 or maybe 7 more recruits. We only have 2 slots left so we can’t expect attrition of more than 4 or possibly 5 guys. No more O-linemen, the staff has been telling people that we’re full. Definitely one and I hope two more WR’s. Treadwell is the obvious want here but OSU is also hard after him so that will be a battle. Eldridge Massington is also much more likely than North or Daniels but we’ll see, it looks like the staff is still talking to a lot of these guys. Ty Isaac would be the only RB we’d take if we take one more. There definitely is a spot for him if he wants it. On D the huge want for us is LB EJ Levenberry. It seems like a race between us, FSU, and Alabama but we’re as much in it as anybody. Vanderdoes would be a big get as we need some size and strength on the line. Henry Poggi is another one we’re after a lot. Greg Webb has committed to Penn State. Along with these guys, Joe Mathis on the line is someone we’re very interested in. The only way we have a shot with Su’a Cravens is if we get mathis, I believe they’re cousins and have talked a lot about playing together. Mathis is a top 10 D end in the country. Also you’d have to believe we’d take Kendall Fuller if he wants to come, went to the same HS as Countess so that’s our in. He was here for the spring game. Highly rated DE Joey Bosa was also here today but unfortunately he looks like an OSU lean at this point.

Vanderdoes, Poggi, Mathis, Fuller and Cravens. If we could somehow land those five on Defense, watchout!!!

On offense, we need one physical WR (Treadwell or Massington would do the trick) and Ty Isaac.

Either way, this is shaping up to be the best class we have had in a long time.

^Haha well we’d be lucky to land 2 or 3. 4 right now could be considered a pipedream. Also look at Christian Lacouture who was “blown away” by his visit to Michigan today. He’s on the D line. Marcel Ateman is another WR possibility. Personally I think Mathis is really huge because he’s a big in for Cravens. He almost committed on his visit here last weekend but decided to do his due diligence, and then this weekend visited Nebraska and declared them their new leader. So basically he loves every visit as a lot of recruits do. The dust will settle with him a bit and after he takes his officials I think we’ll be in a pretty good spot. I think we get Poggi as well so that would put us in really good shape. If we don’t land a ton of these guys I can’t see the staff pushing this past a 23 man class, they might go to 24 if the right guys commit.
