Another AP or an extra curricular or both?

I'm looking at taking this schedule next year and I need some advice. At my school we only take 4 classes at a time so this means we have a lot of homework. I have about a 3.7 unweighted right now and a 3.8 weighted so I would really like to raise that. But I am interested in architecture and I was wondering if you thought it would be more beneficial to get involved with an extra curricular pertaining to architecture rather than taking 1 more AP meaning about 2 hours more homework? I know GPA comes first so that's why I am leaning to the side of taking 4 class first term instead of taking 3 and leaving out AP Psych. So essentially, raise my GPA a bit or participate in another extra-curricular. The extra curricular activity I'm looking into is the ACE mentor program. Also, I am a rising junior fyi and any feedback is appreciated.

Bump anyone please?

AP Psych isn’t that strong of a transcript boost (except for the possible 5.0) so I think it is a waste of time. If the EC pertains to what you want to maybe study in the future it will be more insightful, educational, interesting and hopefully fun. It may even end up giving you something to write about on your college essays. Use the extra time to study really hard for the classes you do have so you can ensure all A’s. OTOH if you think you want to study psychology in college then my advice would be different.

Self study AP Psych and do ur EC.

Okay thank you. After further thought, I think you’re right; I’ll do the EC and self study AP Psych.
