<p>So, here’s the basic litany.</p>
<p>I have a 3.5 GPA at a pretty damn good high school; this puts me somewhere near the 17% mark (no rankings). I was diagnosed with ADD last year, and my grades have improved drastically since I began treatment. </p>
<p>My SAT’s were Brown-level. 740 in reading, 700 in math, 760 in writing, 800 in literature, 780 in world history.</p>
<p>I’m a writer. I’ve attended the Pennsylvania Governor’s School for the Arts. I’ll have a few great recommendations from this. I also have lots of sample work I could include.</p>
<p>I’m my boy scout troop’s Senior Patrol Leader (essentially, President). I’ll be getting my Eagle this November.</p>
<p>For other EC’s, I’m on the nation’s 2nd mkost highly ranked Quiz Bowl team, I’m the Vice President of the Political Club, I’m a member of my church’s choir, and a member of National Honor Society.</p>
<p>I guess my case is one in which I have a lot of things stacked against a pretty meager GPA. Do I have a chance?</p>
