SAT: CR: 730, W: 700 M: 660
SAT II: Chem: 690, lit: 670, german: 650

Lots of extra curriculars. Lots of musical accomplishments, lessons on 2 instruements, several ensembles - regular school and some honors groups, student music director of musical this year, etc. Senior editor of the newspaper. I have a lot of others which i won’t list but tell me if it would help you determine anything.
My essay isn’t bad but i don’t know how amazing or original it is truthfully. Any pointers for standing out in the crowd?
I hope to write a good “why Brown” essay though since Brown is currently my first choice. Speaking of that, would it help to mention that?
Thanks for reading this and responding!
I also have a few questions about Brown:
How is financial aid? (If I get in i can only go if I get a lot of it)
How much partying happens? - Is it easy to be a non-drinker and non-frequent partier? Are there a lot of people who just hang out and go to different events and cultural things?
Is advising good. I want an open curriculum but at the same time I don’t know what I want to study.
Alright, that’s it!

Yes, definitely mention that Brown is your first choice if it is.

Yes, it's easy not to drink and not go to parties. I don't drink and I don't usually go to the drinking-type parties, but I am very social and have a lot of fun here.

Advising is what you make of it. I got lucky in having fantastic advisors, but even if your assigned advisors aren't as great, you can always find people who know things and are willing to help you if you're confident enough to ask for help.

thanks for the response
