Some teachers who worship me will recommend (and im a pretty good writer myself)

Finally, my family has a rather extensive legacy of people going there and working there (although my parents didnt go). I think it carries some weight as my great uncle, for example, is (was) Dean Roemer.

I think you have a pretty good chance. Besides your GPA, you seem pretty well-rounded and involved. Kinda scary that your teachers "worship" you though. lol.

Holy moley! Your great uncle was Dean Roemer? I had the opportunity to meet your great uncle...he was legendary. Can't say I personally enjoyed the meeting under the circumstances, but he was in that position for many years....

Wow, what a small world!

For those unfamiliar, Dean Roemer was Dean of Student Life or something along those lines. He was the fellow you got to meet if your RA or rector felt it was time for you to have a personal introduction, typically not prompted by anything good :)

Seems like the only weak link is your GPA; a lot of that might be washed out in the context of your school...

Dean Roemer.... Wow.... brings back memories (flashbacks?)

Ya, I've met a few people on occasion and found out they were domers and could NEVER help myself. I would always be like "Hey, so do you know a guy named Chuck Roemer? or, rather, Dean Roemer?"

And INEVITABLY they say "Holy crap, that guy almost kicked me out of school!"

My mom has a good story too. She was in town and he let her borrow his car, and she was hanging out with some students, driving them around. One guy notices the fact that Dean Roemer's mail is in the car and he says "why do you have his mail??" and shes like "oh i stole his car." The guys literally opened the doors while she was still moving and started booking it into the night.

Yeah man..ND is a big legacy school and you have the SATs and EC's to get in regardless..You're GPA unweighted isn't really THAT bad although it could be higher, but everything else balances it out..I'd say you have a legitimate shot for sure..good luck

you are gonna get in your gpa is completely taken within the context of your school and im sure nd admissions realizes where you are coming from, and btw that story about "oh i stole his car" was great
hopefully ill see you next year
