So with the new macbook pro's out, which one do you guys think I would need for college? I'm going to be using it for typical everyday use: School stuff, facebook, youtube, internet browsing. Btw i'm goign to be a hospitality/business major. The extra 2 inches on the 15inch would be nice, but it's so expensive. And would I need the quad core??? I'm pretty sure I won't be doing hard-core gaming on my computer.

If you won’t be doing video editing / gaming, I would recommend the 13" and maybe keyboard & mouse and an affordable display for stationary use (like this one: [IN2020M 20? W HD Monitor with LED](<a href=“Electronics & Accessories | Dell USA”>Electronics & Accessories | Dell USA))

It’s a lot easier to take to class, and the screen size is perfect for writing / e-mail / web.

do you think I would ever need a seperate keyboard and mouse?

Not if you’re only doing light work like surfing the web, writing, facebook etc.

But if you plan on doing any graphic design, important/large Keynote presentations, photo editing etc. I would get it! Also, a large display can easily replace a TV for movies and TV shows.

I recommend the new 13" MacBook Pro (320 GB) and install Microsoft Office Student/Home for Mac. One of my kids also has iWork installed.

You don’t need a separate keyboard or mouse.

Use the educational discount program.

Usually Apple runs a deal closer to the Summer where you get a free ipod (via rebate) and printer with the purchase of a new laptop.

13’’ definitely.

listen to your rational side, ignore that greedy side (that we all have)
