Another Q about the Academic Interests Essays

Everyone seems to be asking about these, but most of the answers relate to the engineering program at Cornell. Does anyone know anything about thier government major or the college in general that might help me?

just pick one. 50% of freshman change majors. i heard engineering was the hardest to get into tho

sorry for stealing your thread,
but what do guys think it's alright for me to have one essay 246 words while another at 159 words?? or should i rewrite the 159 word one?

If you've said what you want to say in 159 words, you're fine. Don't worry about it.

The essay I wrote for my Common Application didn't break 350 words, and I have a strong feeling it's what got me into Cornell in the first place.

As long as it's good...159 is fine...sometimes less words are better

It has to be refreshing for the Admissions Officers to read something that doesn't push the maximum. You'll be unique.
