I’ve recently been admitted to Brown and I was wondering what the anthropology and community health departments are like at Brown.
I was originally looking forward to majoring in anthropology with a concentration in med anthro but it seems like Brown offer that so I’m probably going to major/minor or double major in the two.
How are the two departments?

Not concentrating in either, so can’t say anything with much authority, but friends and personal experience with anth classes, faculty and fellowships/programs tells me that Brown has a very good and supportive department. Community health, I know next to nothing about.

Oh, and one other thing, be careful when you say “concentrate” because that’s the term Brown uses for majoring. Also, minors do not exist at Brown though you can double concentrate if you wish (however, only one will appear on your physical diploma).

The name of your concentration will not appear on your diploma unless you earn honors. All relevant concentrations completed will be reflected in your transcript though.
