<p>How is the Anthropology department at Bowdoin? Is it completely separate than the sociology department? (I hope so!) Are there an abundance and diverse list of courses to choose from?

<p>If you are interested in majoring in Anthropology it will be difficult to find what you are looking for offered at a LAC. Most LACs seem to combine Anthropology with Sociology. It is a heavily research intensive field and usually requires the resources offered by a larger research university. There are a number of threads on CC that talk about anthropology programs.</p>
