I have decided, after months of consideration, that I am going to major in anthropology! I am so excited! I will get my masters in forensic anthropology after I finish my undergrad. I am trying to figure out the best minor to take with my BA of Anthropology. Any advice? I was considering Religious Studies.
There really is no one best minor - it really depends on your interests and career goals. You can select a minor in something you are interested in (like religious studies) just because you want to learn more. Or you can try to select a minor that will enhance your competitiveness for graduate school or jobs. Forensic anthropologists need to know quite a bit of human biology, so a minor in biology (or at least significant coursework) in the area might be really useful for you. You might also want to take a few courses in statistics, as biological/forensic anthropologists often use that in their work.
Thank you!!
