anthropology question

is it possible to get into a graduate program with an undergrad and masters in computer science? and no undergrad experience in archeology?

Probably, but they would likely want you to take some undergraduate refresher courses in anthropology (required prerequisites) prior to taking the graduate anthropology courses.

would i just apply to the master program, being a graduate, and the refresher courses would be a part of that?

is it possible to apply for more than one program?

Yes, you just apply to the graduate program. The school, if they accept you, will probably point out that you need to take certain prerequisites.

In some cases, you can take this during the summer prior to the masters program starting--other times you can't. In either case, your application should reflect the fact that you realize you will need to take such courses--and are willing to do so.

can i apply for archaeology/anthropology as a primary, and computer science(which I actually have a background in) as a secondary?

i know the answer might depend on which colelge, the one I was interested in were

nyu
columbia
mit
berkeley
stanford

Because of the limited spaces in most masters programs, it is my understanding that they usually don't allow this. But I'm not an expert on this, so I'll defer to other knowledgeable people who post here on this question.

should i post in a different section?

As graduate admissions is much different than undergraduate admissions, I must say no. The committe that reviews your application is actually members of the prospective department, so you can't make a 'blanket' application to cover multiple fields. You are also required to write a letter of intent to outline your potential research foci and why you want that degree, which would be impossible with one simple application.

You may be able to apply to two different programs with two different applications, but you'd most definately have to check with each school individually on their policy regarding this.
