<p>My S is not ready to commit to UT until he first hears one way or the other from Dean’s Scholars. If DS is a “no” and that’s a strong possibility, the next thing will be to see if he can get into the FRI (Freshman Research Initiative). If neither he’ll need to have a chat about the ability to change majors within CNS to Math from CS if he still wants that [he feels strongly now, but we all know how things can change … I still don’t know what I will do when I grow up
