Antisemitism?

<p>My daughter was thrilled to get into Indiana. However, when we read the posts here, I was alarmed at the phrase "rich, east coast Jews" int he same section as the word slutty. </p>

<p>Do people in Indiana generally perceive Jewish woman as rich and slutty? That sounds like antisemitism to me.</p>

<p>Here's the quote from the thread about dorms:</p>

<p>McNutt- The dorm that has the worst rep- or did before this year. Commonly Termed as "McSlutt," full of richer east coast Jews- plus a lot of other people who act like them. Party hard, all the time. Has a cafe and a convinence store.</p>

<p>Yeah OP, I took major offense to that, even though I do fit the stereotypical 'rich, east coast Jew'. Although I can say as I guy, i'm not a slut :P
I dont really fit the stereotypical Beamer Driving, popular, hard-core partier though. I think it's a stupid stereotype. I really hope it isnt that bad there.</p>

<p>You know, you'll find ignorant people everywhere, but typically, Hoosiers are very accepting of the Jewish faith.
I, personally, am a Hoosier who attends IU, and I love my Jewish brothers (I'm Christian). The Jews are Gods chosen people, after all :)!</p>
