Any advice for a new bioengineering undergrad?

Hello! I'm going to be majoring in bioengineering at University of Pittsburgh this fall. I was just wondering if anyone had some good advice for me as I start off to college. I want to start off on the right foot!

Any advice about being a bioengineer major would be helpful, as well as some of the challenges that come with it, internships, important things to focus on, etc....

I'm starting this fall in biomedical engineering as well, at georgia tech.

I've heard a lot of people switch out of it after the first year or so. Also, career wise, you're going to want to get a Masters or even PHD.

Look out for research opportunities, etc. so that you look good for grad schools.
