I am currently attempting to muster some lifechanging occurrence in order to write an exemplary biographical essay (300-350 words). The motivation behind this is to prep for college applications. Any tips on what to write?
Write about yourself!
Hmm hmm I did write something like that it is all about yourself. Write something simple about you. Tell a story about your childhood, a memorable experience such as how you won a sport competition, your high school aspirations…etc. I just told a story about my family and friends.
Don 't look for a life changing event. At your age, a typical kid has been lucky enough not to have experienced too many of them.
Find an event that sticks in your memory. One that you’ll tell your kids about one day.
Write an essay that your best friend could pick out of a pile and just KNOW that you wrote it.
If you’re prepping now, you’re a junior? What colleges ask for this? I just hope you aren’t misunderstanding what colleges expect from the Common App prompts.
The idea is a nice narrative that shows the qualities your targets value and like. Not earth-shattering. Try to know what your targets do look for, what’s relevant to an admit review.
