I took the ACT for the first time in June '09 and just got my scores back:

English: 31
Math: 30
Reading: 28
Science: 30

Composite Score: 30

I didn't study AT ALL (the most amount of studying I did for this was making sure I had number 2 pencils...)
I know I wasted a lot of time because I wasn't aware of the make-up of the test. My reading section sucked because I'm not very good at doing those sections with a small amount of time. I usually skim the passage and go straight to the questions then look back for the answers (which apparently doesn't work for me) so I know i need to work on that. I reeeealy would like to get up to a 34 (I would like higher, but I'm not sure how realistic that is...) I just wanted to know if anyone here had some advise for me on how I can prepare myself better for the next ACT.
(I'll probably be putting one of these on the SAT board tomorrow lol)
