Any advice?

I would appreciate any advice that you could give to second semester high school seniors. I have about 9 weeks lefts, and I'm going crazy! I'm so excited for college, and high school isn't cutting it anymore. How do you handle the last couple months before graduation?

Thanks!

I’m a senior as well. The way I think of it, I don’t want to mess up before I graduate to put down my GPA and my chances of actually going to school. Keeping my head in the books, these past 3 months have flown by!

Before we know it, we’ll be walking to get our diplomas

Was only taking one class in the building, so I slept in. This reminds me though, at the end, the last week I believe, I overheard in the hall someone who sat next to me bragging to this girl that he had a gun in his locker. At some schools I’m sure it’d be more surprising if someone did not, but the guy struck me as psychotic as well, so I just had to tell the admin to check the locker. Well i didn’t see him again. Of course I’m thinking, this just had to happen in the 10 minutes a day i spend walking from my one class to my car.

I would also mention something about take your studies seriously, but it’s high school. Just do what you can to survive.

Don’t think about it. Enjoy it, no matter how much you -think- you hate high school or don’t find much in it. Trust me, you WILL miss is, even just a tad.
Maybe start to work on good habits. Study habits, test taking, writing. Writing! The jump from high school to college writing is such a big one, it even caught me off guard; I was a great writer in high school–by high school standards. And other things. Know what you wanna major in? Do some random research on topics and careers involving that major just for fun and also as a precursor to truly picking a career later on. You don’t need to “survive” high school. Trust me, that’s the EASY part!
Just my two cents.

At my high school you probably could’ve asked the admin to check a locker for weapons at random. You would’ve found something the majority of the time. It wasn’t psychos, just thugs.

I suggest doing a lot of reading or movie watching. Go to imdb’s top film list and start watching movies on it. It’ll be summer in no time.

As a high school senior you’ve already been accepted. Enjoy some senioritis

I’m a high school senior… and senioritis has hit me HARD. I’m trying to break it. But I’m SO excited to get out of here and go to college and be independent. I wish I knew how to make these last two months fly by but unfortunately I have no way. If you find one let me know.

If you’re getting hit by senioritis and you’re no longer motivated for high school, I have a trick for you. Imagine in your mind getting really low grades and having your acceptance rescinded by your favorite school. Imagine staying with your parents for two more years while you attend your local community college.

If that doesn’t motivate you to pass your courses, I don’t know what will.

Thanks everyone! My grades aren’t suffering enough from senioritis to be of much concern. I’ll enjoy what’s left of my high school career, I’ll just be looking forward to college while I do so! 38 school days left until graduation! ;)
