Any advise for new transfer student?

I am currently studying at CAL for the summer session. I feel kind lost both socially and academically. I am in a double room dorm, but my roommate will not come until July 15, so i don't have some ppl to talk with actually. Also the two classes i enrolled i very boring than i expected. So now i feel quite disappointing abt my life here,is anyone has some advise to help me get involved into this great campus? Thank you

This will likely sound generic and unoriginal, but try to track down some club events or go out for some pizza or coffee, places large groups of people gather. You could join the Facebook group for the transfer students at Cal ([UC Berkeley Transfer Class of 2012 | Facebook](<a href=“Facebook Public Group | Facebook”>Facebook Public Group | Facebook)) where people are generally pretty friendly given the similar backgrounds. Try to put yourself out there, go on a limb because the world never really comes to you.

P.S. The Cheese Board has amazing pizza

What is your major?

Get involved with some social stuff. Frat/sort, clubs or go to the transfer center.

If you need help in academics, go to the student learning center.

I major in Economics
