Any advise on these Introsems? Thanks

I am interested in the following two Introsems:

DRAMA 12N. Antigone: From Ancient Democracy to Contemporary
Dissent

AND

MED 70Q. Cancer and the Immune System

Has anyone taken these two courses? Any thougts about them?

I am specially interested whether these classes are popular or not (how full are the seminars) and how would you comment on the teaching style of the professor

Ill be a freshmen next year and I also wonder if I have a chance to enter Med 70Q as a freshmen!! Thanks

Haha...this is my first post on CC ^_^ Thank you for answering my question!

Also, are any of these seminars very time consuming? (compared to other seminars in average)

Hard to compare relative to others, since most people only do one or two. But overall seminars don't take up that much time. If Med70Q is a sophomore preference seminar, then virtually no chance, unless maybe the professor admits you as an exception. Pre-med related stuff gets snapped up immediately.

Unlike most people, I did four introsems. The Cancer one is taught by a very dry professor, but if you're into research, you could take this class and do research in his lab over the summer. Then he'll know you as a student and as a researcher and will write a better letter of recommendation.

And I knew at least two freshmen who got into the cancer seminar, so don't worry about the preference. Like prerequisite, they just keep people who follow the rules out.
