Hi,
I was wondering if there are any freshman in architecture major that know what classes they are taking this fall? I am going to CalSO this Thursday and is trying to figure out what classes to take. And I would like to know if there's a link to courses that every Cal students need to take as well as architecture student. Please shed some light on me because I am very confused, thank you.

ed 1a
math 16a
R1a
breadth requirement

i believe that's what a typical schedule looks like. i know there's information somewhere about the recommended schedule.

im an arch freshman... this is what im looking at. does anyone see big problems with this?

arch 170a
math 32 (not secure about going to 16a just yet)
env des 1
italian 40 (if this meets the international studies breadth)
+1 seminar

im almost certain ill meet the r&c requirements and ive got quite a bit of AP credit, though i cant be sure what until AFTER calso. does this schedule incorporate enough reqs to make it a safe, mildly-challenging bet for a first semester?

thank you for sharing, so far I only know that I need to take the college writing r1a, i got a 5 on ap calc bc but don't know if that helps.

correct me if i am wrong, i am trying to figure this out.
since i didn't pass the entry level writing exam, i have to take college writing R1A. That class will satisfy the exam as well as the first half of the reading and composition requirement. And I will have to take another class that satisfy the second half of reading and composition requirement during sophomore year.

Another question, are GE courses the same for every students or it varies from colleges? What is the link for the requirements that architecture studnets need to know? So far this is what I found http://arch.ced.berkeley.edu/departments--programs/arch/ab-architecture-course-requirements.htm

Are you talking about breadth requirements? The best catalog I can find for the CED is two years old, but it shouldn't be much different -

i guess i'll just go to calso and try to figure it out there and come back to ask more question if necessary

is it harder to get in for an architecture major or an environmental science major? i'm interested in both so i want to apply to the one that's easiest to get into. any suggestions?
