any chance at all for RD?

<p>Hispanic male attending public school in NY, did not grow up speaking spanish
GPA - 94%, ranked 20/240 (top 9%)
SAT - 2090 (just retook last saturday and hoping for better) 740 CR, 610 M, 740 W
SAT II - 770 world history, 750 US history, 700 spanish, 680 spanish w/ listening
APs -
5 World History, 5 US History, 5 European History, 5 English Language, 2 Biology
Currently taking: AP Government, AP Macroeconomics, AP Spanish, AP French, AP English Lit, AP Calc AB, Physics, and Psychology</p>

<p>Studied abroad twice in Spain over the past 2 summers, taking courses in Spanish language and community service</p>

<p>President of National Honor Society and my high school's JSA chapter, officer in Multicultural Club
Member of Foreign Language Society, Spanish Club, French Club, and Rotary Interact (international community service organization)</p>

<p>For my intended major of linguistics, i should also note that i taught myself french throughout my sophomore year and the summer of 2008 to the level where i am currently taking AP french. additionally, i have started teaching myself russian this summer and will continue to do so throughout the school year to prepare for college courses.</p>

<p>I know everyone rolls their eyes when they here this but there really is no formula for admissions. Calculating random percentages really doesn’t help you unless you are really out of the ball park. Admission is selective but they are being honest when they say that there is no set standard.</p>

<p>I think you have a chance, although higher SATs–obviously math, anyway–would help you. D has strong language and foreign study programs, which makes it a good fit for you.</p>
