<p>Hi! I'm looking at studying Human Physiology in Sargent College at Boston University, and maybe picking up neuroscience as a second major or minor.</p>

<p>I'll chance back if you chance me :)</p>

<p>I am a rising Senior at a private catholic school in ct</p>

<p>I am in the top 10 percent of my class</p>

<p>Freshman year:
3 honors(geometry, bio and english), 2 regular (spanish 2 and ancient civ.) with a 3.7 GPA
Concert Jazz band (bass)
jv cross country, jv squash, jv track
wrote for student newspaper</p>

<p>Sophomore year:
3 honors (european history, english, and spanish 3), 2 regular (chem and alg. 2), religion, with a 3.9 GPA
Concert Jazz band
varsity cross country, varsity squash, varsity track
wrote for student newspaper
tour guide at my school</p>

<p>Junior year:
2 AP's (us history and spanish lang.), 3 honors (american lit., biotech), 2 regular (precalc, bio of the brain), and a semester of each world religions and new testament.

lead admissions ambassador (leadership position equivalent to just giving tours)
6 weeks abroad in spain</p>

<p>Senior year will take:
2 AP's (chem and english) 1 Honors (physics), 2 regular (calc and spanish 5 since AP Lit isn't being offered) and religion course... not sure which yet.

was accepted to and will be attending a weeklong leadership program with a few other peers this summer</p>

<p>ACT: 29 (English 35, Math 28, Reading 28, Science 25[I know, I'm taking it again] and the writing scores aren't in yet)

<p>I think you have a strong chance of acceptance! Raising ACT score will only help. Will you be taking SATs? </p>

<p>Yeah I took them but I got a 550 in Math, 630 in Writing and a 640 in Reading. I dont know if I should even take them again. I just want to do the ACT again and use just that. Do you think thats alright?

<p>looking good. keep up the good work and try to improve those test scores. you should think about even shooting for tougher schools than BU!</p>

<p>I think your in BU. My cousin got in and he didn’t have those stats. I think you should try other schools too agreeing with joshsnow.

<p>thanks @joshsnow and and @academickid, any suggestions of similar schools in my range of selectivity? i’m having a hard time figuring out which are too much of a reach for me.</p>

<p>Yeah, you’re looking great. A slightly higher ACT wouldn’t hurt, but you’re in solid shape.</p>

<p>I think you have a very good chance of getting in. As other people have said, your ACT score could go up. Try aiming for a 31+. And your extracurriculars are great!</p>
