Any chance for a Presidential or Trustee?

There are thousands of local scholarships available. High school seniors who feel they have the grades, scores, unique accomplishments/achievements to be seriously considered for the Trustee, Stamps, Mork and other large scholarships should apply for local scholarships. These may be from academic, social, cultural, ethnic, civic, religious or other groups/organizations. Yes, these take time to complete and return. However, a student is not limited to the number one can receive.

A student from our area was awarded four local scholarships before she ever entered SC. These helped make SC, after her admittance, a viable financial option for her. An internet search can help find available scholarships. Keep in mind there is MUCH LESS competition for local scholarships than those given by highly selective universities.

Isn’t the Town & Gown scholarship only for undergrads at USC?

Yes. Town & Gown is one of SC’s oldest support groups. They give scholarships to incoming and continuing students at the university.

…but only if you live in SoCal.

Georgia Girl, you mentioned that specific schools such as Viterbi often give out smaller scholarships. What would a typical amount be and are these renewable like the Presidential and Trustee scholarships?

D got an additional “University” scholarship of $2,500 (with NM Pres & NM 1K). All her merit is renewable for 4 years with minimal GPA and progress (very generous).
