-I thought my essays were outstanding. My 'Why Duke' was great IMO.
-I am also first generation (don't know if that helps).

I've made a thread before, but it was a while ago, and I forgot my username. And at the time, my application wasn't even started. But this pretty much sums up my App.

I also applied to a few Ivy Leagues, but I am starting to regret that decision. :(

The test scores are the only 'glitch' in the app, but you never know - Duke may just like you enough to pull you through!

You became SG president in 9th grade? And then fell in position until 12th? Interesting

Everything is good except the SATs, which aren't. I'd say with everything else you still have a strong chance

I'm assuming the OP probably ran for a different position each year... Hmm..

You SAT scores are a low for school like Duke. With that said, I know someone who got in with a 29 ACT which is probably equivalent to a 1950/2400.

Taking your word that you essays were "outstanding", I would say that you're probably in. Scores aren't everything, and you prove to be a strong candidate outside of SAT scores.
