what are my chances of being accepted?

rank is 54/356, 14%

help me out people, plz

dude very tough. U rich is an ultra selective school. Sats are on the low side but your rank and gpa are high. Somali heritage will help lots! All in all 41-43% chance.

just wondering, is it true richmond the is somewhat not nice toward minorities?

Has anyone received a letter about, potentially, being invited back to Richmond in March to interview for one of 50 full tuition scholarships?

A friend's son received a letter a month ago, and any information about what will happen there is greatly appreciated?

Your SAT scores are pretty low. Possible you'd get in, but on the stats alone the odds would be against you. One hope you'd have of getting in is if they give you some sort of allowance for being African. Play up that Somalli thing. If you have a story about fleeing warlords and abject poverty and the enormous adjustment you had to make trying to adapt to a new country, that would be where you want to go in the essay. The more compeling the story, the more willing the admissions office will be to overlook those less than stellar SAT numbers. And no Elizabeth, the University of Richmond is not "somewhat not nice" to minorities. PC pandering is not so much the rage there (though God knows the recently ousted President did all he could to drag us in that direction), but as long as being judged by the content of your character and not your skin color is ok with you, you'll be fine.

My GPA isnt remarkable (around a 3.0 and have gone to a competitive girls prep school that doesnt rank.) But, my standardized test scores arent bad, my SAT is a 2000 (V-690, M-640, W-670 Essay 11/12).
I have quite a few extracirrcular activities and ha an interview that I thought went quite well.
Will my lower GPA kill any chance of getting into Richmond?

does anyone know when all merit-based scholarships are awarded/notify finalists? Are there merit-based scholarships besides the full ones?

the administration is nice to minorities but the student body is not. I'm not saying that is right that is just the general view held by students.
