I LOVE Washington but then again I'm from here and have never lived anywhere else. There is lots to do and I really love the scenery.

However I'd have to say most people think that people from Seattle are unfriendly, not to say we aren't polite but there seems to be a thing where most people feel you can't really become good friends with people here. That's what the stereotype is but I have some extremely good friends and tons of acquaintances.

I'm a Freshman now and I'm really loving it here. If you get in and decide to go I'd strongly recommend taking a FIG. The FIG class itself is really pointless but I've made some really good friends from it.

Warning; if you don't like rain.... well, you might not like seattle. It rains quite a bit, but it's not unbearable, and when it's not raining (50% of the year) it's absolutely gorgeous. There's always something to do, and if you like music then you'll love seattle.

I was born in Fl and moved here when I was 10 (I'm 17 now). I LOVE IT HERE!!!!! It's an awesome place to live. I hate FL and absolutely love it here! I think people are reallly nice. I like the weather...love the Puget Sound area. It's te best place in the world to live!!!!! (my opinions of course)

ive lived in houston, tx my whole life. the weather is so random and really hot and gross most of the time. and it's pretty boring. there are only like 3 places worth going to in the whole city. but the people here are extremely nice so that might take a little adjusting. I want to live somewhere cold and beautiful and city-like and exciting...does that sound like seattle?

I think you'll get in. And yeah, Seattle is a nice place to live. It's not too cold during the winter (normally, but it's been really cold this past couple of days... I don't know), and the summer is damn nice. If you like city-like environment, you'll definitely love Seattle. About the weather, it does seem to rain a lot here, especially in the Spring.

During the summers, we sip our Starbucks frapps and act really cool. During the winters, we sip our Starbucks Egg nog lattes and act really cool. :P

There's so many things to do in Seattle... did I mention the flourishing music scene? If you look for music you'll find it. But I do have to admit that the pothead scene is quite disgusting around here.

And the area right off UW.. University District is very bohemian?? No, how about different? It's a little run down but it's the type of place you could enjoy looking at. THere's a lot of people to look at a great food (especially Asian food).

Plus, UW isn't in Seattle downtown but the public transportation is really great.. just take the bus! Though having a car is definitely a plus..

Wow, Seattle does sound exciting. So do you guys know any good college or university around or near Seattle? I always wanted to go there but I kind of worry about the cost since I will be applying from out of state.

Seattle is very UW dominated.... its just such a big part of Seattle and Washington in general. the campus itself is 600 acres, so its huuge.

But you should also check out Seattle University.. its closer to downtown (across 1-5 from downtown) and its also in a very good area. Its on Broadway, which is considered a very chic and urbane area as well.. TONS of stuff to do on Broadway. its very liberal also (if youre into that thing). Good places to eat. I like Seattle U a lot. check it out. I heard Seattle U offers GREAT financial aid, too.
