If so, I have a few questions.

1.) Is it okay to take an Elementary Greek or Elementary Latin course your first quarter freshman year? Or is this too difficult for first quarter?

2.) How did you personally decide between learning Greek or Latin? I'm trying to figure out which one I should pursue and am still torn...

Thanks for any help!

I have a friend that is a Classics major!! I can’t answer #1, but I know that my friend took Greek because he’s planning on going to seminary :p

Ooh, does he have a CC account by any chance? Or if not, could I email him perhaps…?

Are you attending orientation? If so, they can answer your questions I would think. One of the primary aspects of orientation is counseling about your course selection and on the third day for register with the help of a counselor. If you are not going to orientation I would go to the Classics dept at UCLA (do a search on the main website) and email someone in the dept with your questions. Good luck.
