I am going to declare a classics major, and would like to get an insight into which courses undergraduates have found to be the most enriching.
thanks

I love taking Latin. For one, it’s really impressive to professional schools, employers, and people when you say you’ve taken lots of Latin. Once you know a lot, most other languages are supposedly a ton easier to learn. I find myself being able to read Italian or Spanish okay after a couple of years of Latin.

I also find the classes on Roman warfare and Greek culture to be pretty legitimately fun to take. Does your major let you dabble in different areas, or do you have to pick an emphasis on language/region/culture?
