Any Cools Ideas Combining Chemical Engineering and English?

Hi all,

I'm studying both chemical engineering and English. I have thought of a few options right out of undergrad:

(1) Join the Peace Corps (NGO Development)
(2) Find a technical writing/editing job at an engineering/consulting firm/plant/corporation.
(3) Work in the USPTO as a patent examiner, in preparation for a career in law.

I have loans to pay back right after I graduate.

My interests lie in writing, editing, leadership, marathon running, and being awesome.

Right now, I am already a successful freelance copy editor and proofreader (at it for two months and have one steady, published client) and am a part-time technical writing editor at an optics firm in California (though I work locally, in Arkansas).

I graduate in 2016.

Any ideas?

Hmm, those are pretty different from each other… Maybe go to law school and become a patent attorney?
