I am placing before those educated the hypothetical situation of one attaining a Bachelor's in Chemical Engineering (that "one" will be me in one year) and then deciding to pursue a Master's in English prior to going to law school to become a patent attorney. You see, I am good in engineering, but I'm not an engineer; I'm a writer. I need to focus on my passion, right? That's why I am considering the decision of Mastering in English rather than an engineering field. Sure, the engineering Master's would no doubt, subtly, at least, gain benign recognition amongst future employers in firms but, what if I pursue a Master's degree in English? Would this be merely an interest-pursuit while altogether forming me into a better writer, or would this somehow look attractive to prospective employers?
