It's a hard decision. I'm also considering Northeastern. I hope I can do more visits.

Visiting would be nice, perhaps the "accepted students" events that they each have. I'm sure that they will all do very special things during those events in an attempt to seal the deal with prospective students, and because the focus of students is less on getting in and more on enjoying their stay.

I am an accepted student for the WPI class of 2011 and was wondering how strong the school was in areas other than engineering. I am not particuarly interested in studying engineering at all. I want to be an economics major in college but have not met anyone else at the school that is majoring in anything besides engineering. Is the econimics program strong at all at WPI and are there any opportunities for students who are studying other disiplines? Thanks!

Well computer science isn't necessarily "engineering", and i believe its one of the top 3 majors. Other than that, I don't really know much about the other majors.

In general terms CS is also the most highest paid major, just a fun fact.

The Economics major at WPI is basically Economics science and is a mixture of Econ, System Dynamics and a bunch of different stuff...I wouldn't really say that it is something truly amazing but it is unique so it depends on what you want to do.
