Lol. Yeah it would. But, Annoying Kid sits in the front left of the room, and I'm assuming (racist or politically incorrect as it is) that thomaschau is asian by the fact that his last name is Chau, and Annoying Kid is a tall goofy white kid.

Sorry if I offended anyone, especially thomaschau. I really was just making an honest assumption.

lol no, I'm not annoyingkid...the one who asks a zillion questions about whether he can further act like a blabbering smartass by doing simultaneous PhDs in both psychology and astrophysics. I'm the dude who sits alllll the way in the rear and glares at the back of his skull.

lol and your assumption is fine

oh man I just wanna put a metal spike up against the back of his head and hammer it in

Haha no need for apologies dude, I was just playin with you

LOL! I feel ya man. Oh, and streetliglht, my apology was for assuming thomaschau was asian, not for potentially insulting Annoying Kid to his face. As far as I'm concerned, he deserves it!

what is the SHP class.. and why do you guys do it..
and do you have to specially selected?

someone give me the 411 on SHP

OMG I THINK I KNOW ANNOYING KID

he was def in cognitive psych last spring...
tall goofy many questions. yup i def know him.

I have a tall goofy white kid in my Elementary Particles class who asks a ton of questions too. Maybe he's some SHP cloning project. They put one of him in every class and observe what happens.

see i'm beginning to believe this... i remember the dude having this huge debate with the TA about cerebral lateralization, to the point of her asking him to "please be quiet now..."
...and he continued

lol about Annoying Kid. We're definately thinking of the same guy. Anyway, Silver_wavez- The SHP (Science Honors Program) is a program at Columbia for high school students in the tri-state area who demonstrate exceptional ability in math and science. You have to be nominated by one of your math/science teachers, get a rec from him/her, and then go into Columbia one saturday and take a test that covers basically every subject in high school math and science. (Test just sounds scary, but it really wasn't that bad) If the Columbia SHP people like your rec and if you do well on the test, then they let you into the program. The program itself is essentially two semesters of 1 college course per semester. Students go every saturday morning from 10 to 12:30, and take courses varying from Organic Chemistry to Calculus in the complex Plane. I've actually learned A LOT from the SHP, even though I've only been in it for one semester and almost regret not being informed of it freshman or sophmore year. Oh well.
