<p>Hey guys, I'm an upcoming senior looking to start applying for scholarships. Has anyone started to apply for scholarships yet? </p>
<p>If so, could you mention any good ones or if there's a specific website...?</p>
<p>The best source for scholarships is the school you will attend. Look on sites of those you are considering. The most-touted web site that lists other scholarships is FastWeb. Note that so many people apply to these scholarships that the chances of getting one compared to the amount of time you have to put in to apply make it very inefficient. Another source is local scholarships from things such as Rotary, local businesses, etc. You can look around here on how to get to those.</p>
<p>Not to hijack Bigman36’s thread, but the scholarships on the college’s website are probably way past the deadline. I know for Central Michigan University, all (or a vast majority)'s deadlines are like January and March.</p>
<p>I would like to know of some more scholarships that are still applicable at the moment as well.</p>
<p>Willboy…this student is currently a high school senior. The deadlines for scholarships from colleges for the 2014-2015 year…his freshman year in college have not yet passed.</p>
<p>But willboy brings up a good point. When you check the college scholarships DO check the deadlines. The most generous scholarships usually require an admissions application before a certain date (at the latest by Dec 1…but each college is different so check). NOTE…these are regular decision applications but MUST be sent earlier. Many of the generous scholarships also include a separate scholarship application process…check for that too…and the deadlines for these.</p>
<p>Some schools award scholarships based on the strength if your application. Check for those too!</p>
